This week we are reading the wonderful literature of Dr. Seuss! Many of our staff grew up having these books read to them, so it is one of our favorite units of study. We will end the week with a visit from the Cat In the Hat. Brian Wolverton, our former music teacher, is making another return visit to appear as the Cat in this fun birthday celebration we have for Dr. Seuss each year! Mr. Brian is the best Cat ever, and plays his guitar as the children sing Happy Birthday.
Speaking of birthdays, we are buzzing with activity over here at the school, trying to get ready for the 50th birthday celebration of the preschool on March 8th from 5 to 6:30. The children are making special birthday art and we are compiling a list of 2nd generation students. We will also have the school open on Sunday, March 4th when the church has their celebration.
Help!!! If you know of former students or staff members who have been at the Preschool, please make them aware of our celebration on March 8th. We will have many class photos of children and staff through the years. It will be so much fun!
